On Thursday evening we were fortunate to have speakers at Chapel from the three charities we chose to support in next Sunday's 12 Labours of Radley challenge.
Three of our charity reps gave the representatives a warm welcome.
Dick Stevens from WaterAid, our global charity, gave a very moving account of the life of an African girl and highlighted the amazing work his charity does with water, sanitation and hygiene. Working in 37 countries, WaterAid continues to transform lives.
Will White, an OR of C Social, from Cancer Research UK, our national charity, spoke candidly about the huge impact of cancer on our society. He highlighted the need for funding world-class research and technology. Cancer is happening RIGHT NOW.
Louise Cooper from SSNAP (Support for the Sick Newborn and their Parents), our local charity, revealed to us the amazing work of her charity. Not only does SSNAP care for up to 53 babies, it also provides families with support at what can be a very distressing time.
