2020 Radley List Registered
Many people have already registered their sons on either the Provisional or Waiting Lists. If your son is on the Provisional List, he will follow the Radley List process as below.
If your son is on the Waiting List we will write to you at the end of June 2017 to let you know whether or not he is on the Radley List or whether he will need to follow the Open Entry route.
Timetable for Radley List:
10th May 2017: Receive conditional offer which will include:
(a) An entry form (deadline to return is 12th June 2017).
(b) Information about Socials and instructions to contact the Registrar to choose three Socials to visit (deadline to do so is 12th June 2017).
(c) Instructions to ask your son’s current Head regarding our entry system, in particular, the deadline for your son's report to be sent to us by 22nd January 2018.
Importantly, please note that all Radley List candidates must sist the ISEB Common Pre-Test by 30th November 2017 (see below).
25th June 2017: Radley List Visiting Day: A chance to hear the Warden speak, tour the school, and see a Social (not relevant if your son has an older brother either at Radley now or due to come in 2017/18).
September 2017 to January 2018: Visit to Socials and, on the same day, your son will be interviewed. Radley will contact you to arrange the visits.
30th November 2017: Deadline for Radley List boys to sit the ISEB Common pre-test (to be organised and sat at your son’s current school or at a registered invigilation centre). The test is a standardised, age-adaptive measure of ability and attainment. It takes the form of an online assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions in Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English and Mathematics. The tests take approximately two-and-a-half hours to complete and can be taken together or at separate times.
22nd January 2018: Deadline to receive a report from your son's current school.
By 1st March 2018: Results sent to Radley List boys as follows.
Firm place: Unconditional offers will be sent to those that pass at the equivalent of 60% and who have impressed at interview. A non-refundable acceptance fee will be required at this stage. These boys will only be required to sit Common Entrance at 13+ largely for setting purposes. Parents of these boys will also be informed where their son is on our Social Lists.
We don not hold a waiting list for those who have not reached the required level on the Radley List.
31st Decemeber 2018: Deadline for the entry fee to be refundable.
June 2020: Boys will sit Common Entrance for setting purposes only.
