The 75th
Anniversary of the RAF Section
On Sunday 24th April,
there was a major Parade to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Radley’s RAF
unit. This took place outside Mansion and all four Squadrons of the Air
Training Corps (ATC) were involved: the Radley squadron, the Eastbourne College
squadron (Eastbourne College was relocated to Radley during the Second World
War), the Abingdon School squadron and 2121 Squadron, also based in Abingdon.

Air Marshall Sir Baz
North (pictured above left, with TMM) reviewed and addressed the Parade, which was presented by the head of the
RAF unit, Sebastian Berger. He thanked the 120 Cadets for their smartness, eloquence
and dedication. There was a march-past, with the Radley CCF band playing, followed
by a Service in Chapel.
