OTHER (NON-CCF) ACTIVITIES
Radley Ridgeway Relay
A relay running along 86 miles of the Ridgeway from Ivinghoe Beacon to Avebury. The A-team will do 36 miles in total, the B-team 32, amd the C-team 28. Running from 15:00 through the night (until 10:00 the next day) is certainly an experience that most remember.
50 km Relay
Teams of 3-6 run 50km between them. A great team-building and fundraising challenge.
Radley 24-hour track challenge
Like the 50km relay, but a bit further and teams of around 10 runners - last time we managed to get 212 miles.
On the purpose-built facility at Milton Keynes. You are towed on a wire system around the lake. Can you progress from kneeling to standing?
C2C (Radley Clocktower to London Clocktower/Big Ben)
A 100-mile cycle relay along the Thames Valley Path. (Also shorter version from Radley to Desborough for younger boys.)
To Oxford karting circuit to race around the track. Driving license not required.
An afternoon trying not to be hit by small paint pellets - sometimes done by Form Masters or for Social year Groups.
Bob Graham Round Relay
A relay attempt of the famous 24-hour solo challenge. Last time it took us 33 hours to complete - quite a challenge.
The iconic ascent of Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m). 'Time on the Hills' ranges from 8 to 14 hours. Not only are the hills challenging enough, but the time spent in close-confinement in a minibus adds to the challenge.
A challenge aimed at the lower school. To climb the highest peaks in South/Mid/North Wales - Pen y Fan (886m), Cadair Idris (893m), Snowdon (1085m). (Totals of around 17 miles, and 1500m ascent)
A non-stop 24-mile route around the highest peaks of the Yorkshire Dales-Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m), Ingleborough (723m). Can you complete it under 12 hours???
