Final rehearsals are well under way for the first of this academic year’s trilogy of Shakespeare plays that make up ‘The Henriad’, Radley’s contribution to the worldwide festival ‘Shakespeare 400’, celebrating the life and works of the greatest playwright of all time.
A glimpse of rehearsals
‘Richard II’ tells the tragic story of the King, played by Adam Hargreaves (pictured right), who loses his throne and life due to his unpopularity with the dukes and barons of the land, and his destructive monetary policies. There is a cast of nearly thirty boys and girls.
‘Richard II’ will be performed in the Theatre from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19th November; it will be followed by ‘Henry IV Part One’ (January 19th-21st) and ‘Henry V’ (June 8th -10th).
