Over the course of this term a group of Fifths have been visiting Littlemore church to participate in the community action voluntary gardening activity. This has so far mainly involved the excavation and removal of a large tree stump just outside the church. So far great progress has been made, almost all of the roots have been exposed and many rocks wedged between them have been removed. However there is still plenty of work to be done. The main challenge arises from the fact that the tree grew out of an old wall meaning that there are many large stones that collapsed years ago and now have to be removed before the roots can be cut or even accessed. This will not slow our progress, however, and we will continue to work at it through the term.
