On Friday evening, KAM and seventeen 6.1 boys from across all socials headed to Downe House to meet up with their sixth form Phoenix Society. The boys were representing the 6.1 Academic society known as Crowson's after a former tutor of F social. The evening began with a couple of talks. One of the girls spoke about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder which prompted many questions and shed light on a much misunderstood condition. Declan McCarthy followed this up with a talk about Cicero. As well as explaining why Cicero is thought to be such a great statesman, he talked about Rome around 63 BC and reflected on politics and politicians today. After the talks, dinner rounded off an interesting and enjoyable evening.
