With an intriguing title of "£200, a bag full of clothes and a bus ticket at 18", Draven McConville came to Radley on Wednesday, January 31st for his second visit, to offer his advice on how to make a successful future in whatever area we may choose.
The advice he gave was based on his own life experiences: an incredible story of a man who came from a privileged background, then due to family circumstances, ended up homeless on the streets of Dublin at the age of 18.
McConville managed to find work recycling bottles and worked his way up with a fantastic list of jobs, including being the manager of the largest nightclub in Dublin, selling phones, cold calling and eventually the creation of two tech companies, both very successful in their own right.
A brilliant story and some invaluable advice; the length of Q & A at the end of the talk was a testimony to how McConville captivated his audience.
