Our French visitors from the Lycée Sainte-Geneviève in Paris were treated to a performance in French by their 6.1 hosts. Each boy (and four Dons) declaimed an extract from French classic of experimental literature, 'Exercices de style' by Raymond Queneau. These twenty-six variations on a single short story were by turns comic, strange, philosophical and vulgar, and - appropriately - kept the crowd hugely entertained in more ways than one. Félicitations!
