Foundation Awards
Successful candidates will be supported financially by Radley College; the extent of the award will be determined by means testing.
Candidates should be academically able and ideally possess other talents eg. musical, artistic or sporting.
Application Forms are available from the Registrar from the 1st June prior to the exam.
Candidates at 11+
- Candidates applying for entry to prep school in 2014 (Radley 2016) should be born between 1st September 2002 and 31st August 2003.
- They will be required to sit papers in English and Maths at Radley. Questions set will be based on National Curriculum content, but are also designed to reveal literary and mathematical potential. Papers will each be of one hour duration. Candidates will also be interviewed on the day of their exams. In addition musical boys will have an audition and an aural test; artistic boys should provide examples of their work.
- They should generally expect to attend prep school for two years prior to moving to senior school; choice of prep school will be discussed with parents of successful candidates who will then be able to visit a short list during the Lent term prior to making a choice.
- They would be expected to sit the 13+ open academic, music, drama, art or all rounder (Thompson) award for entry to Radley. A new means test form would need to be completed at this stage.
- Entrance exams will take place on the morning of Saturday 30th November 2013.
- Applications close on 1st November 2013.

Candidates at 13+
- Candidates applying for entry to Radley in 2014 should be born between 1st September 2000 and 31st August 2001.
- Candidates currently attending a maintained school will be required to sit papers in English and Maths at Radley. Questions set will be based on National Curriculum content, but are also designed to reveal literary and mathematical potential. Papers will each be of one hour duration. Candidates will also be interviewed on the day of their exams. In addition musical boys will have an audition and an aural test; artistic boys should provide examples of their work.

- Applications close on 1st November 2013.
- Candidates who are attending a prep school will be expected to take the Radley Scholarship in March before entry – please see the Scholarship section for application deadlines.

Candidates at 16+
- Those applying for 16+ awards for entry to Radley in 2014 should be born between 1st September 1997 and 31st August 1998.

- Entrance exams will take place on 20th November 2013.
- Applications close on 1st November 2013.
Parents are encouraged to meet the Warden and have a tour before entry tests take place. They should contact the Registrar to make the necessary arrangements.
Award holders will be allocated to Socials at Radley by the Warden.
