On Thursday 15th September, the Radley French Society was lucky enough to welcome Professor Guillaume Piketty, Professor of History at Sciences Po in Paris, and Associate Fellow of Worcester College (Oxford). His talk about French resistance during World War II as well as his position of being, in his own words, “Number 2” at Sciences Po urged a room full of Radley linguists to ‘Think Differently’.
Professor Piketty managed to teach us all about a very broad aspect of European history, whilst also finding the time to explain each detail in depth. All in all, it was a delightful evening – Guillaume Piketty will be a hard act to follow.
