This summer Josh Bowesman-Jones, 6.1, J Social is fundraising to support head and neck cancer research. He has chosen the charity 'Saving Faces', a charity dedicated to research into facial surgery including head and neck cancer and its treatment.
At the start of the summer, Josh will climb Mt Kilimanjaro over 7 days and then, in August, he will cycle across the Rocky Mountains in the USA.
Commenting on his goal to raise money for Saving Faces, Josh said:
“We climb Mt Kilimanjaro over 7 days and I really hope I can cope with the altitude – I know I can manage 4000m. Then, in August, I plan to cycle from just outside Denver to Grand Junction, taking in the peaks of Mt Evans (4350m) and Pikes Peak (4300m), Loveland Pass (3655m), Vail Pass (3250m), Independence Pass (3680m) and McClure Pass (2670m).”
