On Sunday 26th March the Galleons (Old Boys Hockey team) came back to play the 1st XI. On a bright sunny day the 1st XI started brightly exerting some pressure on the Galleons backline. A few half chances were missed and the boys were made to rue their profligacy. A quick counter attack saw a well worked 1-2 in the D come back to Simon Stalder who struck the ball home. Other incisive breaks either side of half time saw Harry Over deflect home at the far post while Alex Crampton Smith had plenty of time to cooly slot home a third. With a few minutes left on the clock, Ed Mair, the 2nd XI keeper filling in for the Galleons, looked like keeping a clean sheet. The 1st XI rallied and with some generosity from the Galleons managed to convert from two short corners. Clark scored from close range and then a Cunningham flick was deflected home by an OR stick in the last play of the game. The final score was 3-2 to the Galleons.
