‘Glass to Digital’, the striking new Photography Exhibition of the work of two sixth-formers, Sebastian Aldous and Sam Shepherd, based on the historic photos of Radley in the 1880s and 1890s by distinguished photographer Henry Taunt, was launched on the evening of Friday, February 26th in the Sewell Centre Gallery. These two 6.1s have worked hard on this major photography project for fifteen months. It is indeed the first time the Sewell Gallery has been handed over exclusively to such a boy-led project.

Inspired by Archivist, Clare Sargent's idea to recreate Henry Taunt's early photographs of Radley with a digital camera, Sam and Seb have produced a most impressive exhibition. The project has indeed been fascinating from artistic, historical and technical angles and the two boys have managed it with huge skill, including framing and hanging all photographs themselves.
This Exhibition runs until Tuesday March 22nd. This charity is close to Sam's heart, as he has received great support from it over the last few months. Sam indeed spoke of his support for ‘Winston's Wish’ at the Friday evening Private View.
