Last term, J Social 6.1s Tom Sweetman and Archie Barrow created Kit 4 Kenya, a charitable initiative to send unused sports kit to those less fortunate in Kenya. The project was a huge success and more than 15 large bags of football boots, an estimate of 400 pairs of boots, were sent to Kenya via EDCLUB (a skyping platform encouraging pupils from schools around England to help educate Kenyan children).
Commenting on the Kit 4 Kenya donation, Alice Macaire, Co-Founder of EDCLUB, said: “The Huruma community were over the moon to receive the boots. Not only were there enough to give every EDCLUB child a pair, but we also had enough large ones to give the older teenagers and young adults. A wonderful football match was played to celebrate.”
