At the end of April, Channel 4 launched their new breakfast programme RI:SE, the successor to The Big Breakfast. The anchor man is Mark Durden-Smith, plucked from Sky Sports where he fronted the rugby union coverage. Mark, unfairly nicknamed the "Des Lynam of rugby union" (Mark is 33 and Des is, allegedly, past it), has been described by The Telegraph as "square-jawed, well-coiffured and unflappable". The rest of the seven-strong presenting line-up includes Kirsty Gallacher, Edith Bowman, Liz Bonnin, Chris Rogers, Henry Bonsu and Colin Murray. RI:SE offers a lively and cheerful mix of news, sport, celebrity gossip and more. Tune in - it will make you feel better.
