Following the success of our Operatic Excerpts Concert last March, I am delighted to announce plans for the next Radley College Choral Society Concert, which will be on Sunday 14th March 2004. The programme will include the beautiful Serenade to Music by Vaughan Williams and the exciting Chichester Psalms by Bernstein, accompanied by a guest orchestra. Old Radleians, parents, families and friends will be very welcome to join members There will be three evening rehearsals and three Sunday rehearsals. The Warden has once again kindly agreed to host lunch at his house for all those taking part in rehearsals on the first two Sundays. Whilst it is not expected that all the members of the choir will be able to attend all the rehearsals, I hope that the provision of Sunday rehearsals and evening rehearsals will enable both those living further away, and those within easy reach of Radley, to attend enough rehearsals to learn the music. On the final day in the afternoon we will have a full rehearsal with the chorus, orchestra and soloists before the evening concert. All rehearsals will take place in the Silk Hall and the full schedule is below. I do hope that you are able to join us. Please contact me, Stephen Clarke, at: sdjc@radley.org.uk or telephone the Music School on 01235 543034 to let me know the following details: the names of those in your party and their voices (Soprano, Alto, Tenor or Bass) and the number joining the Warden for lunch on Sunday 8th February and Sunday 29th February.
