The Foundation is a registered charity (No. 272671), which has been set up to receive and apply the funds donated to us. Its objective is to establish a major endowment fund for Radley to augment significantly the funds available to support scholarships and bursaries and to help Radley carry out major specific developments on the scale likely to be required over the next 50 years. It is quite separate from the College and holds its own funds. These are administered by six Trustees, four from the Council and two from The Radleian Society, representing both Old Radleians and parents. The Foundation will continue and extend the work done over many decades by The Friends of Radley.

We are hoping in this first phase to raise £10.5 million, of which we already have £2.5 million committed towards the objectives of the Foundation and a number of promised legacies over and above this. Fund-raising will continue until Radley is in a position to offer scholarships to talented boys who will benefit from the education here regardless of the means of their parents, offer bursaries to parents of boys in the School who face unexpected hardship, and build new buildings when there is a need for them.
