Statement on Public Exam Results 2008

Now that the results of all appeals and remarks are known we are in a position to publish A level and GCSE results for 2008.

It was a record year at A level on several counts: 90.58% of papers were graded A/B, a small advance on the returns for 2007. The A grade figure was a record by a large margin, about 10%, 69.16% of papers being awarded the top grade. 65 of the 122 candidates achieved 3 or more grade As.

At GCSE the 2008 5th Form cohort recorded 79.15% A*/A, with 35 of the 121 candidates achieving 10 A* or As.
