The objective of the Charitable Trust is to support, encourage and facilitate rowing at Radley and for the Radley Mariners. In addition it also seeks to support other junior rowing in the upper Thames Valley .
The Trust is managed by three Trustees and an Advisory Committee.
The trust achieves its objects by, for example by:
- Supporting RCBC’s spring training camp for Senior and J16 oarsmen or purchasing leading edge equipment for the club.
- Supporting ORs who have the potential to be selected or have been selected for international squads
- Providing grants, for example, to Abingdon Rowing Club to purchase boats and sculls for a growing junior section at the Club and also to the Hinksey Sculling School at Oxford, which runs an after-school activity for children at State schools in the less privileged areas of east and south Oxford to introduce them to rowing.
Anyone wishing to apply for a grant should complete an individual or club/organisation application form.
The Trustees and Advisory Committee meet at least twice a year.
The Trust’s AGM is usually held in November or December each year.
