Good luck Josh Bowesman-Jones, 6.1, J Social who today begins his cycle across the Rocky Mountains in the USA to raise money for two charities.
Josh is fundraising for Gehandu Secondary School in Mbulu, East Africa to support the work carried out by the Gehandu-Radley partnership. He is also raising money for head and neck cancer research and has chosen the charity 'Saving Faces' which is dedicated to research into facial surgery including head and neck cancer and its treatment.
At the start of the summer, Josh also climbed Mt Kilimanjaro over 7 days.
Commenting on his cycling goal to raise money for the charities, Josh said:
“I plan to cycle from just outside Denver to Grand Junction, taking in the peaks of Mt Evans (4350m) and Pikes Peak (4300m), Loveland Pass (3655m), Vail Pass (3250m), Independence Pass (3680m) and McClure Pass (2670m).”
