The annual Scholars' Music Concert was once again a great success. This year had a slight (but highly positive) anomaly, as we included solo performances from the players who are auditioning for the National Youth Orchestra. I believe that these performances not only proved to the guests the individual level of the scholars, but also proved this to the very scholars themselves.
The range of music - from Mozart to very recognisable film music, ‘Kaleidoscope Mathematics’ - performed with very little practice time, particularly reflected the ability of the music dons to teach us these pieces so well. The evening overall was very enjoyable, in terms of performing as well as listening.
