The Richard Morgan Library

The Richard Morgan Library was established in 1996 in the building known as School. This is ideally situated in the centre of the school, parallel to the dining hall and the chapel. Sculptures by current boys are exhibited throughout the building. The atmosphere is one of welcome, accessibility and comfort. As well as the pupils, the Library is open to anyone who either lives or works at Radley.

The Library contains materials in all formats, with a large proportion of the budget assigned to online, digital resources. There are also substantial collections of contemporary fiction, films and music. The Special Collections include medieval manuscripts, incunabula and 20th century fine printing. Although traditionally a distinction is drawn between curriculum and leisure resources, at Radley we encourage the use of any resource, no matter its format or its original audience, if it can push boys beyond the existing boundaries of their intellectual or cultural education.

The Library is open daily during term time, including weekday evenings and weekends. It is staffed by a team of qualified librarians with a strong background in academic and school libraries.
