VI.1 CHOICES CONFERENCE
This annual event usually takes place on the second Thursday in June. The aim of the conference is to enable the boys to become aware of the choices facing them as they leave Radley. The content of the Conference revolves around three themes:
  • Radleian Society - its role in establishing contacts through and beyond university years for work experience and advice in specific career areas
  • Gap Year - the value and range of the many different 'year out' opportunities now available
  • Career choice - what skills are required in different careers and how can an individual prepare themselves for a future in a particular profession? What transferable skills are required ? How important is work experience?

Each candidate attends three seminars. They can attend two on careers and one on gap year or three on careers.

During the buffet supper in Mansion there is an opportunity for candidates to talk to conference speakers and there will also be several stands in Stone Hall manned by personnel from gap year organisations.

Each candidate will receive a document wallet containing information on career opportunities, gap year planning and the Radleian Society.
