| Admissions at 13+
Boys are admitted to Radley from the age of 13. They may be added to the entry lists from birth and it is advisable to enter a boy’s name as early as possible. A registration fee of £100 is charged for putting a boy’s name down on the registration lists but registration does not itself guarantee a place in the school. Boys join the School in September and should be under 14 on the 31st of August in the year of entry. Boys will only be admitted after their fourteenth birthday in exceptional circumstances. Financial support is available for parents who are unable to pay full fees through Scholarships, Bursaries and the Foundation Awards The offer of a place for boys who are registered A place can be guaranteed, subject to Common Entrance, only by the return of the Final Acceptance Form together with the Final Acceptance Fee (£700). It is essential that parents notify the Registrar of any change of address or change of prep/junior school as failure to do so may result in a place being lost through non-receipt of a Final Acceptance Form. Warden’s List Boys need to be nominated by their headmaster or headmistress two years prior to entry to Radley. Candidates should have all-round talents and achieve a minimum of 60% in the Entrance exams. Places are allocated by the Warden after the formal interview and consideration of the Head’s report. Further details are available from the Registrar. Scholarships Application forms are available for entry in 2010. See Scholarship information for the closing date for applications. Latin Visits to the School Parents of boys who are not registered but seeking a Scholarship or Warden’s List place or who wish to visit before they receive the final acceptance form should contact the Registrar. Those seeking a Music Scholarship are encouraged to meet the Warden and Precentor 2 years before entry. This is an opportunity for an informal audition where guidance may be given as to the suitability of an award. In the Michaelmas Term prior to the Scholarship, the boys are encouraged to attend a further pre-audition at which there is an opportunity for more detailed guidance and constructive advice on how to prepare for an award. All visits are individual and take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and in some instances on Wednesday mornings.
