Community Action involves at least 150 boys annually, both at home and abroad. All boys must undertake voluntary work at some time while at Radley; usually this takes place after GCSE. The intention over the eleven years since its inception has been to broaden Radleians outlook and experience in the process of doing worthwhile activity. Abroad this has involved building houses at Kerala, Southern India and a permanent base in Pratra Neamt, North Romania where there is an English club combining teaching facilities with a Youth Club, and working on projects in Nepal. At present links with a South African township school,Matthew Goniwe, are being developed.
CAP operates in the United Kingdom, and locally at the village Primary School where the boys are involved in landscaping and clearing grounds as well as acting as teaching assistants and raising funds for the school.
Boys are involved in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme annually. They serve the community as well as being engaged on expeditions, in physical recreation and with residential projects.
