The 11th biennial OR Property Dinner took place at Boodle’s on Thursday 5th March.
This proved to be an auspicious date as, 179 years ago, William Sewell , Robert Singleton , Edwin Monk and Nugent Wade met in a hostelry in Turl Street, Oxford, to discuss the foundation of a new school which was to become Radley College.
This year’s dinner was another “sellout” event with 60 attending ranging from Andrew Fane (1962, B) to Niamh Murphy (2018, C), a spread of Old Radleians over 56 years.
We were delighted to welcome our guests: the Warden, who made a most interesting and amusing speech after dinner, Sub-Warden Niall Murphy and Development Director Elisabeth Anderson.
Many moved to the Boodle’s bar after dinner for further refreshments, and the barman drew stumps well after midnight.
Great fun was had by all with plenty of property talk as well as reminisces about Radley.
