The Summer Concert was a joyous occasion, celebrating the large ensembles at Radley.
In particular, it was wonderful to welcome back Vths and 6.2s, returned from study leave. Owen (6.2, K) gave a thrilling performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto, superbly accompanied by the College Orchestra led by Vitas (6.2, L). We were treated to fabulous performances from Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble, Music Theatre Ensemble, and Radley Voices – the Big Band closed the evening, featuring solos by departing 6.2s. After the concert, the whole school joined together in Chapel for the Songs of Praise, raising the roof with a selection of Radley’s favourite hymns. We look forward to the release of the latest Radley hymn recording, ‘To Be A Pilgrim’, early in the Summer.
