Places of Mourning in the Western World: a project by landscape and history artist Phil Whiting. The exhibition will run from 13th January until 9th February 2024.
This artist’s work is informed by issues around conflict, memory and human rights. In April 1995 at the height of the Bosnian War, Whiting embarked on this artistic project in order to make sense of why genocide was happening again in the heart of Europe and to speak out to as large an audience as possible through painting.
The Sewell Centre Gallery is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 1.00pm – 5.00pm and other days, by appointment – please contact Amanda Jewell on acj@radley.org.uk or the Art Office (Monday – Friday) on 01235 543039.
