Alan Thomas is Principal Trumpet of the London Mozart Players and Principal Trumpet of the renowned Central Band of the Royal Air Force. Formerly Principal Trumpet of both of the BBC Symphony Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, he is also a member of two of the country’s leading brass chamber groups in Onyx Brass and Septura Brass Septet. He has played on countless movie soundtracks and for numerous state occasions.
Alan is a Trumpet Professor a of Royal College of Music and Trumpet Tutor at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. We are excited to welcome him to Radley College for an exciting recital of music for trumpet.
