The Wharton Piano Competition is the highlight of the year for many of our pianists. Boys work incredibly hard perfecting their chosen pieces, promising an impressive hour of piano playing – and this year was no different.

Kim Chin (6.2, K Social) won the prestigious Wharton Cup for his beautiful rendition of Noel (Vingt Regards sur l’Enfant-Jesus). James Jin (V, J Social) and Aleksandre Khundzakishvili (6.2, B Social) were highly-commended for their performances.

Frances Carian won the Senior Recital Class with Edward Roques (R, B) 2nd and Wallace (V, E) and Warren Chan (6.2, E) in 3rd. In the Festival Classes, Kuku Dompreh (V, G), Enzo De Sa Subiotto (R, E) and Steven Wang (V, C) were awarded Adjudicator’s Prizes.

The adjudicator was Aaron Shorr.
