We are looking for an energetic Teacher of French to join the Modern Languages department. The position may suit an experienced professional, an ECT or a recent graduate who is keen to develop skills in the classroom on a reduced timetable. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful, innovative department within a friendly and collegiate school community.

We have high expectations of all students and we support them to achieve their potential. An experienced teacher seeking a move into a strong department will find there is plenty of opportunity for responsibility and career development. We have also had much success in inducting those who are new to the profession, and so we also welcome applications from those who are just finishing their studies. Such appointees would start on a reduced teaching load and would be closely supported by the Head of Modern Languages.

We have ambitious expectations of all students and support them to achieve their potential. The department has extensive centralised resources to support teachers and each teacher has their own classroom and access to a spacious departmental office.

We have an increasingly diverse pupil intake and are looking to increase diversity within our Common Room. We therefore welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Some of our staff joined Radley straight from university, others after gaining a PGCE. Some have taught in independent schools, others have not – and some had not taught before. For some, teaching has become their second (or third) career. There are opportunities for those without a teaching qualification to gain a PGCE during their time at Radley
